Greek Oregano Agorán

oregano1The pure Greek Oregano of Agorán is produced at the mountainsides of Olympus Mountain between 500-900m altitude in central Greece by a family with an extensive tradition on herb cultivation. This oregano is harvested every summer and after the traditional drying process is carefully chopped and sifted four times to deliver the purest and cleanest oregano. It is then directly packed with minimal processing, without using any additives, thus keeping all the aroma and taste. International standard packing procedures guarantee the freshness of the final product.

The superior quality of Greek oregano ( Origanum vulgare) compared to other types of oregano (like marjoram) comes from the stronger flavor and the lasting period when kept sealed. Greek Oregano has the highest antioxidant properties than any other types, according to latest studies of the National University of Colombia in 2012.

Dried Greek Oregano is a great way to get through the winter blues.
